The Martha and Mary Maternity House in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago offers practical, emotional and spiritual support for expectant mothers who find themselves alone or without a good, safe home through pregnancy and childbirth.
The Martha and Mary Maternity Ministry is a group of Orthodox Christians dedicated to helping pregnant women in need of support. We are the fulfillment of a long-held dream of the members of Orthodox Christians for Life – Chicago, and we are a ministry of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago.
Our Pan-Orthodox Board of Directors operates under the guidance of His Eminence Metropolitan Nathanael, Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago, with the solid support of our beloved hierarchs across all Orthodox Jurisdictions.
We began as a residence in the northwest suburbs of Chicago from November, 2015 until August, 2019… and since that time, we continue to provide housing referrals, material needs, and creative, personalized assistance to any pregnant mom who requests our support.
