Join a Christmas Bureau

Ministry Description: Johnson County Christmas Bureau, a 501 c3 nonprofit supporting low income and poverty of Johnson County, Kansas. Holy Trinity assists the Bureau in its mission by volunteering as a group at the Annual Holiday Shop operated by the organization during the month of December. Groups may also assist the Bureau by collecting needed items.

       The Bureau’s Mission is to

  • Provide warmth and support during the winter holiday season to low-income Johnson County, Kansas families.
  • Increase awareness and understanding of poverty in Johnson County, Kansas; and
  • Give neighbors an outlet to help neighbors.

Targeted Group to receive help: All clients are below 150% of the poverty level and MUST reside in Johnson County, Kansas.

Who facilitates the Ministry: One or two individuals from the parish to coordinate the volunteer effort. Encourage parishioners to be part of the volunteer group, post sign up sheets, coordinate donation barrels.
