Mission Statement
The Department of Christian Service & Humanitarian Aid is dedicated to manifesting Christ’s love through acts of mercy, service, and philanthropy. We hope to equip parishes and faithful to serve those in need by providing resources, best practices, and support for charitable initiatives within the parish community. Additionally, through collaboration with Orthodox nonprofit organizations and diocesan volunteers, we strive to strengthen compassionate outreach, ensuring timely and effective responses when called on.
Vision Statement
We envision a diocese where every parish becomes a beacon of Christ’s love, actively engaged in serving their communities with wisdom and compassion, becoming vibrant Orthodox communities. By fostering collaboration between Orthodox philanthropic agencies, parish ministries, and dedicated volunteers, we seek to inspire a culture of Christian love and service. Through education, funding initiatives, and direct assistance, we aim to empower the faithful to bring hope, healing, and tangible support to all in need, reflecting the Orthodox calling to love and serve “the least of these” and living the Great Commission to “Go to all nations”.
